Hate speech by Muslim is punishable, and welcomed if it is from Hindu

It is clear-cut evidence of discrimination against Muslims.

A popular Muslim politician Mohammad Azam Khan, was sentenced to three years in jail by a court over a hate speech targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2019.

74-years-old Azam Khan serving as the Member of Parliament and he is one of the founding members of the Samajwadi Party. He was also the senior most Cabinet Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been a member of the legislative assembly for ten terms from Rampur assembly constituency.

The verdict on Thursday was given by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-1 Nishant Mann.

Since BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, as many as 81 cases were registered against Khan in Rampur on various charges, including land grabbing, cheating and criminal trespass.

On the other hand, there are nearly 38 politicians from Modi’s own party, who spread hate on daily basis, but no action against them.

The Hindutva rulers who insist on heaping provocative, threatening, communal, gutter abusive taunts are part and parcel of the political machinery!

One Hindutva leader said “shoot the Muslims, while another call for picking-up arms, the other one throws derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammed.”

As per the BJP’s own report, since 2014, the study found that 5,200 hate messages in an insensitive manner. And BJP listed 38 of its leaders who hurt religious sentiments.

Yet no legal action taken against any of these offenders. Example Nupur Sharma is actually protected by the Modi government.
